Planning & Facilitating Services

A mother blessing is an intimate space inspired by an ancient Navajo ceremony called a blessing way. The ceremony is held to prepare an expectant mother for her upcoming birth journey—to shower mom-to-be with love, support and encouragement.

Option 1: Mother Blessing Planning Services

  • 2 hour planning consultation (phone or in-person) to brainstorm ideas, decide on guest list, activities, food options, and more!
  • Creation of list of activities and items needed.
  • Show how to open and create sacred space, and how to close sacred space at the end of the ceremony.
  • Show how to create the altar.

Option 2: Mother Blessing Facilitating Services

Includes all planning services plus:
  • Ongoing communication with host.
  • Purchase of most items on item list (flower crown, red thread, henna body paint).
  • Set-up prior to ceremony, (altar, mother throne, etc.)
  • Personal facilitating of ceremony and all activities (2 hours attendance).
  • Introductions and explanations of what a Mother Blessing is.
  • Create sacred space, and closing sacred space at the end of the ceremony.
